CII – Workshop on Green Hospitals on 26 October 2013 1000 Hrs – 1600 Hrs at Chennai Trade Center Chennai

“A green building is one which uses less water, optimizes energy efficiency, conserves natural resources, generates less waste and provides healthier spaces for occupants, as compared to a conventional building.” According to the Indian Green Building Council the market for LEED rated green buildings in India is projected to increase to $5 billion by 2012. India’s Green Building footprint has grown from 20,000 square feet in 2001 to projects covering 1.64 Billion square feet till date.

 In order to improvise the healthcare delivery and waste management it is important for the hospitals to provide a greener atmosphere for a sustainable hospital administration.

 With this background, CII SR in association with Indian Green Building Council is organizing a Workshop on Green Hospitals on 26 October, 2013 from 1000 – 1600 hrs at Chennai Trade Center Chennai.

The objective of this Workshop is to enhance awareness among healthcare providers on the importance and benefits of Green Hospitals. The Workshop would concentrate on the  Advantages of Green hospitals, Case studies on best practices, Effective hospital Waste management Etc which would allow participants to apply their knowledge in planning the greening of existing buildings and the building of new green projects.
