NABL 112 Revision – Draft Announcement made by NABL Secretariat

Subject: Draft NABL 112 for Comments

This has reference to the announcement from NABL regarding the release of Draft NABL 112 documents for revision requesting comments from Laboratories and Assessors.

We would like to appreciate the efforts taken by NABL to draft a very clear and extensive specific criteria document for the ISO 15189:2012 Standards. All disciplines have been covered extensively in simple language, with a professional touch.

Further to the announcement a meeting was called for in Chennai inviting all Accredited Laboratories, Applicant Laboratories and Laboratories who are in the process of sending application to discuss on the revised document and give their suggestions for NABL Secretariats’ consideration.

The Meeting was held on 5th January 2014 at Andhra Chamber of Commerce and was attended by the following laboratories

The meeting was conducted between 10 am to 1 pm and all the participating members discussed on the new draft version of NABL 112 and the following suggestions / comments were given by them which have been compiled below.

NABL feedback on 112

We have submitted the same for NABL’s perusal and would be grateful if NABL could to take in to consideration some of the suggestions given by the participant laboratories and  incorporate the same in the final draft.

  2. Are there specific guidelines under NABL or any statutory law of the land (India) that the histopathological specimens, slide, blocks etc must be stored in a laboratory under a governmental setup ? If yes please let me know with reference. I will be thankful-PK JAGGI
